High Point opened it's '24-'25 ACC League season by hosting Elon in a back to back at Greensboro.  The Phoenix managed to hold a 2-1 lead more than midway through the game, but succumbed to the depth and tenacity of the Panther offensive lines.  Before the final buzzer, High Point ran off 8 straight goals to win going away, 9-2.  The second game was no contest, with the Panthers dominating from puck drop to final buzzer, winning 14-1, and going 2-0 on the season

Coach Starcher credited a total team effort, but singled out Sophomore Joe "JYD" Di Martino for the High Point Player of the Week, and subsequently voted the ACC Player of the Week. 

Joe had eight points (4 G, 4 A) over the weekend, including two shorties.  

High Point winning the ACC M2A Championship just 6 months ago and progressing to the Nationals semi-finals, decided to move the program up to compete in the ACC M2 Elite Division this season.  The Panthers have already made their mark within the league, more than proved they belong, and are not intimidated by the higher level competition.

Congratulations to Joe, his Panther teammates, Coach Starcher and his entire staff for a tremendous start to the '24-'25 ACC Season.  Looking forward to the continued success of this Panther's team as the season progresses.
