ACC Hockey League

1. Virginia Tech 2. Duke 3. Georgetown 4. NC State 5. North Carolina 6. Virginia

This weekend, Duke handled Virginia Tech their first ACCHL loss.  After going 9-0 in league play, Tech tried to finish undefeated.  In a nailbiter, the Blue Devils and Hokeys skated to 1-1 tie.  The game was decided in a shootout, where Duke prevailed.

Virginia made a statement a week before the ACCHL tournament that their 1-9 league shouldn’t cause anyone to look past them.  Playing NC State, a team fighting for 2nd place in the league, the Cavaliers won 4-3, pushing the Wolfpack into 4th place.

* Georgetown forfeited on Nov. 8th against NC State, resulting in a deduction of one point from their standings.
