Doug Jackson, ACCHL Board of Directors

Doug is President and Founder of Technology Finance Specialists, Inc. (TFS). TFS is a 5 year old company that out-sources vendor finance programs for providers of IT solutions. Clients include MCI / Verizon, Sun Microsystems, Key Bank, VeriCenter and Scientific Learning.  Prior to founding TFS, Doug was with AT&T Capital for 23 years, where he started as a salesperson and left as Senior Vice President of Government Markets.

Hockey Experience:  Doug has been a life-long hockey fan, amateur hockey player and student of hockey. He started playing organized hockey in 1959 in Detroit, Michigan and continued playing until he graduated from Western Michigan University in 1976. (Doug notes: “I played intramural hockey at Western Michigan, as my enthusiasm for the game was greater than my skill level”).

Doug holds a level 4 coaching certificate. He has been the Head Coach of Centreville High School in the NVSHL for the past 5 years and has served as Assistant Coach for the Virginia Statesman AAA pee-wee travel team. 

Doug continues to play in men’s leagues and travel to various tournaments both within the US and internationally. 

Doug brings three key attributes to the ACCHL as a Board member:

  • A deep love of hockey and a desire to see it expand.

  • A proven record of administrative and management expertise, coupled with a solid financial background.

  • The ability to work well as a member of a team

Doug’s pledge: “I understand that the Atlantic Coast Collegiate Hockey League is made up of schools with great traditions and reputations. However, I further respect and understand that hockey is not a main staple at these schools and in order to keep the programs viable, a number of dedicated and committed people have devoted enormous amounts of personal time and energy. The current scope and professional presence of ACCHL reflects that pride and commitment. If approved as a Board Member, I pledge to be a strong partner and devote the same level of pride and energy as those before me.”
